thechasmofsar: I wanted to thank you for your response and apologize if I seemed insensitive. One of my deepest cultural struggles has been to accept the portion of myself that is "white". I agree that there are white supremacists in this country who bring only death and humiliation. I live within an hour from a neo-nazi infested community. Yet, many whites respect the land and her native people, many others can be taught, and there is no certainty that natives would have abstained from the evils of "progress"

Well, I understand. It’s hard for me to judge others fairly when it comes to white people. Ive just had too many encounters to where I don’t trust too many of them.
There is a LOT of racism left over where I live. Natives aren’t treated equally and neither are african americans. South Carolina is one of the worst places to live if you’re a creamy either. You get judged a lot quicker, and white people who are older can be VERY rude.
Although, you’re right about that. I do know white people who respect the land and cultures of the native people. And they’re actually some of my closest friends as well as family from my mother’s side. She only has a small portion of native in her family. But I respect you and I feel as though there is absolutely no need for you to apologize. :)
